Ok...I hear you and have no reason to doubt your statements about SU-2017 instability on M1 MAC's...But

What I am telling you is true...I have had ZERO crashes before this...ZERO. I am using SU-2017 3X a week.

The fact that I can actually MAKE SU crash using RC CONSISTENTLY tells me it's not random.

RC resets it's self every 24hrs...and I am able to use it...UNTILL I quit SU. IF I re-open SU immediately or later that day...it crashes AND ONLY AFTER I CALL UP RC.

If I DO NOT call up RC it DOES NOT CRASH.

It is the ONLY Plug-in that makes my copy of SU-2017, on My machine...crash.

      So, my question is:

Does the licensing aspect, or verification of RC reset every 24 hrs somehow? Is this a server issue?

Have had no problems working sketchup on this Mac mini Big Sur to Monterey other than RoundCorner for the last year.

It is interesting that if I wait 24hrs after the last crash I can use RoundCorner again until I quit Sketchup. If I restart Sketchup and try to use RoundCorner before that period, it immediately starts crashing again.

      RoundCorner Crashing.

      Mac mini M1
      MacOS Monterey 12.6
      Sketchup 2017
      Fredo 13.3a
      RoundCorner 3.3a

      Purchased the 12.00 perpetual license.
Installed it along with sketchucation plugin store.
Worked ok until I closed sketchup and came back to it later.
Now every time I call up the plugin it instantly crashes sketchup

Deleted plugins Fredo6 and Roundcorners and skethucation and reinstalled. Crashed again.

Deleted plugins Fredo6 and Roundcorners and reinstalled both WITHOUT skethucation. Called up Roundcorners and it asked to verify license. Installed Skethucation...restarted...called up round corners = crash.

I am beginning to think this has to do with the licenses verification?

I could not find the option in the user settings so go ahead and delete my account. Im sure with pleasure and extreme prejudice.

For Fuck sake get a life and add something to the community and merry Christmas.

      Ok how about this:

This is the Font that Layout uses for it's default dimension typeface. If the font is not available to layout then dimensions will not be visible while using the dimensioning tools. So, activate the typeface or reinstall it.

I use a Font Management Application which apparently turned this particular face off. If you use such an application make sure it's on.*]

Now, about your comment. I lack the specific skills set to code my own workaround for this admittedly minor inconvenience and therefor cannot offer a suggestion for a resolution but that doesn't mean I have to keep quite about the page and the "user experience". If the iT guys and the web developers never here suggestions or complaints they never know any problem exists. I know that you think everyone should just shut up, act like sheep and take what's handed to them, never complain, never make waves. "if you don't eat your meat how can you have any pudding?"

BTW: the only reason I am here again is because Layout refused to show dimensions I was working on so I needed to retrieve my own solution from the post archives. So, please save your snide comments.

    • RE: Http://sketchucation.com/ blank page

I don't know exactly whats going on but many times I will just sit and stare at a completely blank page after clicking on a link that has a lot of image posts. Then after a few minutes everything fades up and I can use the page. I don't see this in any other website I have ever visited. I think it's quite annoying because I can't tell if the page is loading or it's frozen. Sometimes I just close it and move on.

Any way I can Turn OFF this crazy "innovation"?

Excellent image, very dramatic. Added a few touches. I hope you don't mind, just to push it over the top, some reflected light and highlights.

    • Layout dimensioning work or not????

Using Layout 3, I cannot dimension anything!

Try using the search terms "layout dimensions" here in this forum, all I get is "No suitable matches were found." As a matter of fact searching this forum for anything with more than two words always goes no where, whats up with that?

      Sorry, anyway...

I can click on the points in the model but cannot pull up a dimension string. I also cannot make call outs. Same thing I can reference the points but dimension strings do not display at all! What's going on???

No luck here either for photo real children.
Take a look at this site for really good drawn quality and some SU kids.

Have red/blue 3d glasses? have a look at this make (position red over right eye for this one).

Would really like to try an animation (with turns). Anyone have success converting stereoscopic animations? Plug-in? Mac software-cheap-free?

Here are a couple of renders for a company who specializes in auditing brokerage firms and investment bankers. They thought that by remodeling there workers offices this way would get the point across better. Plus it saves on building square foot usage.
