Nick Sonder? Wow, I have watched your videos way more times than I shoud admit. I did see the one where you discuss scrapbooks. So the scrapbook is really just a blank storage area inside Layout where you can store commonly used things? I noticed you mentioned that you have lots of electrical symbols in your scrapbook. Does that mean that you do your electrical plan in layout on an existing model or that you simply have those if you need to add something to an electrical plan imported from Sketchup? Sorry if that's a basic question but I'm really trying to figure out the right way to do what I want ( in my case that would be bath, kitchen and basement remodels ). Hi Solo. Besides sketchup I wont be doing anything too demanding with the computer; checking email, quickbooks etc. I dont do any gaming at all. Im a remodeling contractor so I do want to have the ability to render my model, do a walkthrough, and also hook it up to a flatscreen TV in my showroom ( so the client can see there project coming to life). Hi Everyone. Im looking for a new laptop that will work well with Sketchup. Im looking at an HP with the following graphics card; AMD Radeon 7640g Discrete-class. Im not sure if this is the correct forum to ask this but since Im still a Newbie I will do it anyway. Im considering a new laptop that has a better video card than my current.I have experienced some bad performance on things like #3D walkthroughs. I need a laptop so I can go to a clients house and present a new remodeling project. Price is a consideration so I cant go get the top of the line gaming laptop as it will most likeley be out of my price range. I would like to stay at or below $800 US. Any advice? Thanks

Hi. I just got pro so Im new to layout. I chose a Layout template for the type of page I want to use. how do I import my own logo and change the text on the right side of the page? Can I rotate this page 90 degrees to work on that or does it need to stay in landscape mode? Im attaching my layout page so I hope it shows up. thanks

Thanks so much Dave. Im still a bit unclear on getting back to the "default" screen after I have applied a style to my model. In other words, how do I get back what would be the normnal "default" style that opens when you first start Sketchup. I hope that makes sense.

Ok people, here is the BASIC question of the day. I cant find the feature in Sketchup that allows me to apply line effects to my model ( hand drawn lines etc). I used it once about a month ago but now cant find it for the life of me. Im sure its right in front of me. Thanks in advance for your help.

Im building a screen porch addition to a house. What would be the best way to represent the screens or would it be best just to leave the space open with the undertsanding that it has screen in it?

Hi everyone. I was wondering if any of you who use Sketchup for architecture could tell me the best way to design a bathroom. I'm a contractor and do a lot of bath remodels. I think I could use rendered images from Sketchup as a sales tool to help potential customers visualize what we can do for them. I was looking through the gallery on the sketchup website and came across some pictures by an interior designer. She somehow made her sketchup models have a watercolor painting look. How is that done? Is there a plug in or style that allows you to do it? I tried attaching a picture of what im talking about so I hope it works.
