Are you referring to having assigned the glass to both front and back face or 2 separate materials. I have checked and there are no duplicate faces. I have even deleted the panel and recreated it with no success.
If I rotate the perspective, the shadows appear on the left panel instead of the right so the angle of the perspective affects it. I thought initially it might be the glass material I'm using but I have tried with several ones and they all seem to produce that shadow.

Hello everyone.
I've been reading this forum for a while now. Great source of information.
I am working on a rendering and I am having real issues with the glass material. As you see in the image on the right side the chair looks completely black through the glass as well as a black box next to it. I am not sure what is causing this. Never had this issue before. I have tried with different glass materials and all give me the same result. I know the glass as thick and not single face. However the angle of the rendering I'm afraid would look weird if the glass had no thickness.
I am not sure what am I doing wrong. Any help would be highly appreciated.
