Here's a what a really good didge player can achieve.

His name is William Barton, probably the best didge player in Australia, if not the world.

      enjoy πŸ˜‰

Danny - I'm running 10,000rpm primary drive, it's only 80G but it's very fast, load and save etc. rip although it's a bit noisy πŸ˜„

I think Sketchup has resolved the ATI driver problems but I'd check if I were you πŸ˜‰

    • RE: Request for Test Hardware SKP

From my observation of the test on the other forum it appeared the video card was more important than the CPU or RAM. My previous machine was Laptop with a P4 3.2 intel with 1.5gig RAM but with a shared 128 ATI video card and it fell over at 7. But I noticed someone else with the same setup except a faster dedicated video card and it made it to 10.

      I'm now on a core-duo 2.4 - 2gig ram and a 512 video driver (Nvidia 7950) for twin 19" LCDs and it goes all out to 11.

Kris - here's the "Crowd Test" skp file from the previous forum that is excellent for testing your puter, especially your video driver.

Sorry I can't remember who made it.

    • I wonder if

these organ pedals could be modified to act as an extension to a computer keyboard? 8O

For example the lower notes could be Control, Alt, shift etc. other notes could be keyboard shortcuts and the foot switches also be preset functions.

I have a compaq presario laptop. The limitation is the shared video - try to find a laptop with a dedicated video driver.

That's great Eric - much better than the poisonous plastic currently used. Plus when it's worn out you burn it for firewood πŸ˜„

    • RE: Webex Demo: Teaching SketchUp through the NET

Susan - I use skype everyday, to Mac and PC users worldwide. My current project is in Dubai. I've had clients in the US walk me through their constructions with mobile laptops with camera, I've had three way conference calls with the client and builder, all with their sketchup file open and exchanging pics and links as we go - and it's all for free.

I use Skype for my calls to mobiles and all long distance calls because it's cheaper than my local telco and is payable via paypal as a debit system.

I have a logitech camera that gives me hands free operation so I no longer use a headphone with mic so if you want an aussie trial I'd be happy to assist.

Skype is utterly fantastic and I couldn't operate without it. πŸ˜„

    • RE: AutoCAD 06/SU6 compatibility issue?

Rico - I've experienced the same problem importing from 05.
It appears like there's a section plane in the model. I then noticed two Scenes had appeared called F1 and F2 which I erased and everything worked fine.

      I hope this helps

    • RE: Section Plane Animation

Nick - set up a model with a section cut through it and hide section planes but show section cuts. Save the page. Now show the section plane and hide the section plane (right click hide!!) and add another section plane and slide it futher down the building, hide section planes and save that page.

If you go from page 1 to page 2 the section cut will slide down the building.

      cheers
