RE: Rain Chains (updated)
We used a rain chain on a building close to the harbour (in East Scotland), the wind blew the rain everywhere off the chains!
It looks good though (especially when you're up-wind from the chains...) -
RE: [Plugin] Simple Glazing tool
Tomat, thanks very much for the tool.
RickW, Windowizer is one of the most useful tools available. However, could it be adapted to provide an inner frame of a window? I currently push pull through the wall, repair the faces & then use windowizer on both sides of the wall. -
RE: REQ--Inferring an midpoint for mirroring.
David,
Try the link from "http://www.suwiki.org/suwiki/index.php?title=Mirror_(plugin)", TIG has produced a number of very good plugins. -
RE: Indigo Competition entry : "Imaginary Friends" [nude]
Very well done, how did you manage to render a movie from indigo in one night with indigo?
I would have thought one frame would take about that time to reduce the noise!
Liked the music as well, can you let us know who it was? -
RE: [Plugin][$] Tools On Surface - v2.6a - 01 Apr 24
Fredo,
Thanks for the tools, they are great, & to CadFather for the icons to match! -
RE: Viewport question
gaganraj,
You're correct, this isn't the best spot!
But to answer your question, SKUP doesn't have the viewport functions of AutoCAD, however, you can use the scenes function to flick between different views.
In Window/Model Info menu, untick the "enable Scenes transistions" option in the animation section.
Then in the Scenses tab, untick all the options apart from Camera location, then create a scene, move your position & create another.
You can then start a command & flick between the views mid-command - try doing that in ACAD! -
RE: Silvershadow's eye candy 1: The river runs thru it
Fantastic!
Thanks for sharinf some of the trade secrets -
RE: Request for RUBY
re: "The problem is that the white areas in the overlay have a masking effect on the model. Now, if it was possible to export the watermark image as a PNG and make the white areas transparent (is that alpha adjustment?) before making the watermark, this wouldn't be a problem."
If you use an image editor which has layers, set the layer property to multiply. White is ignored while the lines remain.

Just a note to say how impressed I am with the details, & thanks for the turf!

RE: [Obsolete] Component Spray Tool
Thanks very much, I'm sure it'll come in handy once I've had a go.

RE: Lighting Plugin for Sketchup
Fantastic, I'd be surprised if Google aren't interested in your work.
Does it work with animating between different times set in pages? -
RE: [Plugin] DoorMaker
Thanks very much for the routine, it works very well.
Just the one comment.
Rather than Grouping the doors, could they not be one component arrayed about a point? This would optimise the model a bit more.
Otherwise, the level of detail & in the model & ease of use is excellent.JGA
