I really just need to remove that lofting tool. It was a great first try at lofting, and It still makes nice results, but there are so many better options out there...

What I really like about your tool is the option to determine the amount of segments between each of the splines. I'm using sketchup to build models for a racing sim and the poly count is extremely important. Your tool allows me to have control over that very easily.

It was the simple loft tool by Chris Fullmer. Thank you for the quick reply. I knew it had to be something simple like that lol...

It is worth upping your version...
There are several other 'lofting' tools available - the most recent is Fredo's CurviLoft beta;then there's my Extrusion Tools zipped-set, that includes several tools including so 'lofting' ones... Do a search by author...

A quick question about the updated lofting tools.

Let's say that I have a spline and I want to loft a "tube" shape around the spline. Do any of them work that way for sketch? I know that I can do it in max but, I despise doing any modeling in max. I prefer to do all of it in sketch and then import the models into max and do my texturing work from there.

    • Installing Plugins?

Hello, I just found this site by doing a search for a lofting tool for sketchup. I've downloaded the plugin but, I don't have the slightest clue how to install it or to get it to show up when I launch the program. I'm on v6.
