Ok heres what iv being working on, its just early stage progress, its just a quick animation of a seperation concept, added to a bulk of a model underneat the lifeboat but i sense Marion may not like this

But if we do go with this concept it would have a more machanical look, cant wait to hear what you think

I did this animation with the Keyframe_animation plugin, not sure if you need it to view it, if you dont have it and can view it could someone let me know, cheers

@Marian, bare with me, im redoing it and its a bigger improvement on what i had lost, ill have it ready tomorrow,

It normally does autosave, just spent an hr looking for it but no trace

Dont you just hate it when you model something and it crashes 2 hrs later and then you remember you didnt save it,

I had something really nice modelled for this and now its gone

But I will model it later for you to criticise, I'm going to try and beef it up a little but keeping the design of the cockpit/lifeboat the same with 1 alteration to its underside, in my mind it works but sure we will see later

Excellent idea, a lifeboat like onboard the USCSS PROMETHEUS and ENTERPRISE, clever, aslong as its not noticeable, it should be completely flushed with the ship and only becomes noticeable when it separates, like the enterprise, the USCSS PROMETHEUS lifeboat was consealed inside the ship if I remember correctly, great idea Marian

I think the main body is next, since the front section is more or less on top/front it looks like we are going to need to build the main body from the top down, I usually work from the bottom up, but so far we have an interesting front section, it reminds me if the miny sub used in the DSV series if you remember, it operated like a dolphin where the tail worked like an organic flipper, I loved that show until it was cancelled, so main body, suggestions? Iv an idea that comes to mind which I'll work on later tonight

I have being, im just after redoing that last model i did last nite to reduce the poly count, its as close as i could get it, have some fun with it, tear it apart. add to it, bin it if you dont like it,

Removed the model for editing, found a few flaws after posting, will submit again as a new post

I suggest 2 shuttles , I was thinking it would be best to contain them inside I'll give an example of how they dispatch, I think you might like this idea.
