Yes. That is a major key to it. It will read groups but then I believe you get a separate line item for each copy. Components make sense anyway because they improve editing efficiency. If you are going to the cutlist level with a drawing, draw every piece you'd have to make in wood as a component. If you were going to make a solid wood panel, draw it as the separate pieces of wood you'd need to glue together. Otherwise it will tell you that you need a board the full width of the piece. That's fine if you can get it and control it but wide pieces of wood tend to be difficult to control as they'll want to cup and warp.

Hey there folks, I am really interested in how I can incorporate the use of CAD in this case I have downloaded what was suggested above? Can anyone point me in a useful direction so I can learn / incorporate CAD into my work flow. I realise that CAD mastery requires a lot of time and expertise... That isn't really what I am looking for but how I can better work in 2D and to generate drawings that could be used as plans to improve my modelling. I think in this case I am looking backwards to get drawings of what I have now modelled. Here are some of the "drawings" I was able to create for my friends but any suggestions on cleaning them up? [image: Drawing2-ProposedSitePlan.jpg] [image: Drawing8-West-BackElevation.jpg] [image: Drawing7c-SouthSideCrossSectionStai.jpg] [image: DrawingDetail2-RoofConstruction.jpg] I would appreciate any constructive feedback...
