Check your pm.
I just did, it's looking great, btw can I (or you, just like you wish) post your render?

Haha looks like fun, I like the overal atmosphere and detail you've put it into ;D
Cheers,

Looking very good Daniel, but in the render there seems to be one thing of, I think it
has to do something with the perspective of the building, that it's going a bit too narrow to the back.
But looking great anyways,
Roevens Johannes ^^
Go to Sketchup -> Preferences -> OpenGL and be sure the 'Hardware acceleration button is checked
Cheers,
Roevens Johannes
Hmm yep, better, the sky is a bit more dramatical but adds a nice atmosphere to the overal.

That's a great gesture Pete and especially in the current climate where time is money. Helping out someone with time constraints and processing power issues who has shared their project with the community to judge is extremely giving.
My hat is off to you, you truly are a gentleman and a scholar.
Sure he is, thanks again Pete! If there's any modeling work I could do feel free to ask, btw, I'm also
somewhat experienced in graphic design and webdesign!

Send the SU file with all mapped textures, make it SU6, and if there is anything else you need or need me to keep to let me know.
I will probably use Vue or Vray4Max, unless you insist on KT.
Wow Pete, awesome I'm really stunned, the file's uploading right now it's just not over 50 megs, so it's taking a while
but I'll send a PM once finished, just use the engine you like the most, I don't really care, I know your works are stunning!
Cheers,
Roevens Johannes
Good work on this one, I remember this from a long time ago, is this possible? Very nice lightning but I'm missing one thing and that's soft shadows, I'm quite a big fan of soft shadows (although I forget them sometimes ).
I don't really know about the curtains as they might screw the lightning, but meh, I'm not that experienced, so I'm sure you'll
choose the best.
Btw, on my Mac it appears normal, not too dark nor to light.
Cheers,
Johannes ^^
I'm Bruce neither, but this is looking great!
Ohyeah, now I get it! He wanted you to use some more blue, well the result is wonderful imo.
Keep it up,
Johannes ^^

If you do not mind, ship it over to me and I will see if I can speed things up (I have a farm)
Sure I don't, but what do you exactly want me to send? The SketchUp file only (as I've seen you making lots of Vue renders
for others), or the Kerkythea file + material folder?
(If there's anything I could do for you, feel free to contact )
Cheers and many thanks, I really appreciate this,

nice renders... 10 hours to render a single picture or render them all? What render app do you use and what size is the original picture? 10 hours seems a bit long to me.
remon_v
Well the last render took 10 hours to render in Kerkythea in MLT (Multi Light Transport -> Unbiased) at a resolution of 1920x1080 (Full HD)
The thing actually is with the preset the longer you let it render the better it gets, so if I wanted to I was able to stop the render after 1 hour
but the image would've been very grainy and darker then.

Foxar, what do you mean you have no time to rerender? how long did it take? when is it due?
It took about 10 hours, it should be finished by wednesday, but I only have this night free to render the backside of the building and tomorrow evening to photoshop it.
Cheers,
Roevens Johannes
Thanks Tom,

The white shape on the right doesn't seem to belong to anything (and therefore distracts my attention...?
You're right, the white shape (which actually should be a home) on the right side of the building looks a bit odd.
I'll try to fix that in Photoshop as I don't have enough time to re-render.
@tomsdesk said:
As an architect, the lack of modelled delineation of the material break between brick and stucco on the lower left flattens that wall for me...the brick should project a couple inches?
Hmm I think I get what you mean, I might accentuate the line between the brick and stucco some more in Photoshop, but
how do you mean exactly with "the brick should project a couple inches?" , the brick and stucco are at same level so there should
be no 'extruded stucco block'.
@tomsdesk said:
The image as a whole seems cropped too close to me...a bit more environment around the building might serve the subject better?
You're right, the only thing why I didn't do this is due time, the block is between 2 other homes, so I had to keep the image
tight to not have the need to model all the surroundings.
@tomsdesk said:
Well done fixes on the latter images BTW. Again, good job!
Thanks a lot Tom, a shame I don't have time to re-render it, but I'll keep in mind your tips
for any future projects, thanks a lot (again).
Cheers,
FoXar ^^
A shame, it's due the bad engine SU has, nothing to do about that, even not a Quadro.
The only way you'll notice difference is with the more advanced 3D apps out there, as you mentioned, C4D.
Cheers,
FoXar ^^
I came to the final image right now, included the raw render for the fans.
Cheers,
FoXar ^^
Hmm, you might try http://www.megaupload.com , that's near to the biggest one and IMO this one's
quite useful, while Rapidshare is a real pain.
Cheers,
FoXar ^^
No thanks monta, btw, I'm posting the response here so maybe someone else could ever have a profit about it.
Well the main documentation can be found here: http://www.gtamodding.com/index.php?title=Main_Page
The community can be found right here: http://www.gtaforums.com/?c=22
Those are the 2 main recourses where to start, now you will need version 1 of GTA SA, the
problem is they don't sell version 1 anymore (this version allowed modding before but due
the offending 'hot coffee' mod they needed to make the game unmoddable, so came version 2).
Now to still be legal what you can do is; buy GTA SA in the shop and afterwards download a
version 1 somewhere. But note, I don't know where it's legal and illegal, here in Belgium this
'practice' should be legal, so maybe advice someone who knows more about it.
Secondly, you will need a bunch of scripts, SketchUp Pro and 3ds Max and lots of patience,
you're still in?
Cheers,
Roevens Johannes
That's looking great Huyvuvn, I've always been fan of things you've showed me on yahoo or skype,
so keep it up buddy!
Cheers,
FoXar ^^
Hi there, I'm also using an MX Rev. the way I've configured it was making specifical keyboard assignments
for my MX, for example i gave the search button the 'O' configuration, that would pop up the Orbit tool,
and to make these shortcuts to work you can easily change them in SU under 'Preferences -> Shortcuts'
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Roevens Johannes
Hi there, I'm working on a Mac to, never had problems with SU,
first, what are your mac's specs? Second, how big is the SU file, and third could you provide a picture of the model?
The biggest chance IMO is that the model is to big for SU the handle, as it's quite a low end engine.
Cheers,
FoXar ^^
