    • RE: Splats and strange lines...

No, but thank you for asking.
I did an update on the graphics card and it was up-to-date.
I have a dead line this afternoon so I dummied the file down to SU6 and I am crossing my fingers that the "Splats" do not follow...
I hope to have some time at the end of the week to see if I can figure this out.
Thanks again for your time Gai,

    • Splats and strange lines...

I'm having some issues with SU7 and have looked for other user that have similar issues, but to no avail.
The first issue is I have strange extension lines when I rotate a model around. Is this a graphics card issue or is there a preferred setting for the OpenGL? I am using a ATI FireGL V7600.
The second issue a continual Bug Splat...I have been working on what I feel is a small file adding a water texture and using Podium to render. The object is a small Puddle less than a square foot with a grid of 2 inches and SU7 continually Splats.
Does anyone have any cures for the perpetual Bug Splats? I have been using SU6 for some time and recently "upgraded" to SU7 and I am liking the older version (right now).
      Thanks in advance...

      Thanks lvl1201 and Gai,
My apologies for not being more responsive I did not click on the Notification of replies and have not been on for a few days.
@ - lvl1201 thank you very much for the time, effort, and thought put into my question.
I have spent some time breaking down the different parts/sections of the house and building a mass model that way.
      Attached is the WIP.
Unfortunately I need to re-texture the model based on the fact I did not bring down the file size of the pictures...😳.
Again thank you for your time.

      Hi Rick,
Take a look at this link:

    • Photo-Match or Extrude from GE

I have been trying to model a custom home with multiple roof lines and multiple elevations from some photographs. All of the tutorials I have come across deal with buildings that are boxes.
What is the best way to accomplish this? Would you use a photo-matching technique or extrude the model from the Google Earth foot print? Or is there another method I am not aware of.
Objective is to post on GE.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
      Thanks for your time,
      Ethip

Thank you for your response gentlemen.
To follow up on this question have you or anyone else ever had a model rejected by GE and if so why?

    • Posting on Google Earth

What is the amount of time it takes Google to post a model on Google Earth? I have done a search for the answer and the best I can get is from GE FAQ which states "several weeks". I am curious if this time frame is correct or have the members of this forum found it to be different (more or less time).
      Thanks,

    • RE: How to close this curve??

Just draw a line from each corresponding end point of the curve and then hide the edges.
