I have already cut the animation down into sections to see if it would handle it better. Each section is about 12 seconds with a 60 frame rate.
Could it be my scene just has too many elements? Would i perhaps be better using a different programme like 3DSMax?

RE: Vray crashing when trying to render large file
Also, when i try to just do a single render of the scene it works perfectly. But when i try to run an animation (Multiple renders after each other) it crashes.
I dont understand why it will render a single image but not multiple......... -
Vray crashing when trying to render large file
SketchUp Version: 8Pro
Hello,
This is my first post ever so hopfully i will explain myself well.
I am trying to create a video using Vray for sketchup. I have a very large scene which is crashing when i start to render. Sketchup works properly at first. It follows the path i have set for the camera. But after about 20mins of waiting for the vray render box to pop up it crashes. The file is 40mb with over 90 photo textures. I have tried to make each photo size small (100kb max). There are 4121234 edges and 1646086 faces.
I have been looking at some posts and it is looking like rendering with dynamic memory might help.
Problem is i dont know how to do this. I have changed the setting under system - Dynamic memory value - from 500 to 6000. Is this all i need to do? Some forums say i need to use Dynamic geometry etc...
I believe i am using a good computer. I have just upgraded to:
8.00 GB Ram, 64Bit operating system, Intel core i7-2700, CPU @ 3.5
Any thoughts or other options that can stop the program crashing would be great!
