    • Construction Lines

I was wondering if there is a way of drawing construction lines in a Sketch up model other that the guides available with the tape measure tool, for instance to dimension to the center of a circle.

      Thanks

    • Solid Trim Tool

I am trying to use the Solid Trim Tool to create a mortise from a tenon. When I do this I choose the component with the tenon as solid #1 and then the adjacent component as Solid #2. This seems to work well, however, Solid #2, the component with the newly created mortise is changed to a group named "difference". I was wondering if there was a way to maintain the original component designation?

    • Help with materials

I was wondering if someone might give me a hand. When I try and apply a wood texture to a face in my model the appearance of the face doesn't seem to change. Yet if I right click on the face and select edit texture the texture that shows is correct. I have a feeling I don't have a setting set properly, but I can't figure it out. Thanks in advance for your help

Dave, thanks for your generous offer but being relatively new to SU, I thought this would be a good project to take all the way through the process of design and build and was just looking for an example to get me started. Still waiting on my son to give me some dimensions to get started. Wouldn't mind your feedback when I get a model started.

    • RE: [Workaround] for a problem with LO 2.1 on OS X 10.4 Tiger

I am running 10.4.11 and Layout 2.1. I just tried exporting a 10 page document to PDF and the system just keeps showing the progress bar. Looks like it doesn't work for me either.

      Thanks

I just tried the plugin for cutting angles that Bert mentioned and it seems to work quite well

Menfin, I also checked out the plugin again, and tried several different scenarios, each seemed to work well. thanks again for your efforts.

menfin, excellent work! I loaded the plugin and it seems to work well. The only question I have is it appears like I can only input integer values for the diameter and depth of the hole. How would I input for a 1/2" diameter hole?

      Thanks again for your efforts!

Is there a way to use the drill board tool to drill an array of holes in a component?
