    • RE: Help with installing slicer/slicemodeler

It turns out that slicemodeler does not work anymore. I installed slicer 5. Thank you.

    • Slicer 5 error message

I have drawn an oval dome in sketchup that I want to slice with slicer5. When I select it and click on the slicing tool, I get the message "selection must be one group or component instance." I don't know what that means. Can someone help me figure out why it does not slice? I will upload my file. Thanks.

    • Help with installing slicer/slicemodeler

I am new here. I am trying to install slicemodeler in sketchup. I am a beginner so I may ask dumb questions. Anyway, I went to what I thought was the slicemodeler download that I found from this site. I downloaded it and it is titled "slicemodeler". I went into sketchup and to the Windows menu. I clicked on it and then Preferences. From there I clicked on Extensions and then Install Extensions. A file called "flightofideas.rbz" came up and I clicked on it. It installed into sketchup, but its title has SVG in it. I Next I tried dragging and dropping it. I found slicemodeler in Downloads and then went to Program Files, then Sketchup, then Tools. I dragged and dropped it into Tools. I closed out Sketchup and brought it back up and I still can't tell if it is there. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong or how I can find out if I have in fact managed to install slicemodeler in sketchup. I never got a message saying it did not install. I have Sketchup 2016. Thank you.
