    • Vray Load Error

      Hi,

I have been successfully using vray for a few renders through this week. However, I opened the same skp file I've been using for these renders where the message now appears:

      @unknownuser said:

      Error Loading File C:\ProgramData/ASGVIS/VfS/Ruby/R2P.rb
#<REXML::ParseException: malformed XML: missing tag start Line:

#<REXML::ParseException: malformed XML: missing tag start Line:
      Position:

The file opens fine once I click ok but obviously vray won't render.

Here is the R2P.rb file if anyone has any suggestions?

    • RE: Vray Frosted Glass

No problem, I'll get that update ASAP.

That's it! I hate when it's something so simple! It has now changed to a soft light.

      Thanks a lot.

      Here it is:

      Window Render.jpg

I placed another block in front of the window to make sure I set the frost correctly. But you can see that the light falls sharply on the ground. Is there a way to set this up to diffuse through the window?

    • Vray Frosted Glass

      Hi,

Can someone let me know how to setup Vray in order for light to be affected by frosted glass? I have set up this render to demonstrate my issue:

      Render.jpg

The block in front should still cast a shadow through the glass plate but it somehow doesn't.

I ultimately want to use frosted glass as a window in an interior scene but so far any modification I make to the material still sees the rendered light with a sharp outline as though the glass were opaque.

      Thanks,

      Drew
