I have disabled Vray while working in all of my models and then enable it when I am wanting to render out a scene. This seems to minimize the number of Bugsplats.

Having to open and close it to work with materials and environment/scenes gets pretty old after a while though. My IT department is in communication with both Vray and Trimble.

For some reason it seems like a lot of these issues have occurred after trimble took over sketchup...is this a possibility at all?

I have actually disabled vray and the same action will not cause a bug splat once it is disabled.

I truly think the problem lies in vray, unfortunately their support is not very good. Is there any thing else I can try besides ditching vray?

Fresh install of Sketchup 8.6 and Windows 7 with Vray Plugin.

After creating a new file that was made for experimenting with materials, applying a material to a surface will cause the program to crash resulting in error report. Is is a very simple model without any complex geometry.

Attached is a screen shot of the errors occuring.
