Ciao,

gosh...I just realized that before my post the thread stopped exactly 1 year ago !
I was talking to myself...
looking at it again...it has something of the Gundam cockpit.
This plugin is just great !
I am using it to make a curved structural cage in front of a building.
A bit like Prada building in Tokyo, by HdeM, but the cage is separated from the facade.
It does not work always on very complex shapes but it's incredibly useful !!!
Many thanks indeed !
Fortissimo !
FOR THE REST OF THE WORLD
Great !
We really needed an interface to contain/call all the plugins.
I was talking on friday with the Product Manager of Google in charge of Sketchup. I met him in Tokyo at "Archifuture" (http://www.archifuture.jp/2011/ a very cool event mostly about algorithmic design) and I was telling him that I was using SU since before it was bought by Google and that the 2 great things about the software were the flexibility given by ruby and the plugins and the fact that was free.
As a reply to this latter part he showed me the photo of his kids on his mobile and told me that he had to feed them by selling the Pro version. I pretty much understand his point.
A very nice and funny guy. We had a good talk.
I told him that SU and Google Earth could be precious in reconstructing the pre-disaster situation of the areas hit by the earthquake in Japan (a project that I am considering).
He told me that Google did something similar already supporting a group that tried to reconstruct virtually l'Aquila (the Italian town hit by the earthquake).
Back to the interface...I don't remember if you already answered this question but...will it be ok also for the Mac?
hi,
tested your v2.1.
Warning message appears.
This will be useful to notify users of the language problem.
Best !
this is going to be a great plugin !
I was using SoapSkin Bubble to make curved surfaces from 4 connected curves/lines and that one too is a great plugin. It allowed me to produce projects with free form facades or landscaping.
But the ability to manipulate the surface after it has been created is a great addition!
many thanks !
I see.
Again, thanks really a lot for the great and friendly support to your plugin !
My best to you and Hawaii (I`d love to go there sooner or later).
Thank you.
Ok.
Maybe it`s SU8 that works in a different way then, because SU7 could import DXF from my Japanese computer even if the filepath had kana characters.
If solving this is impractical I will use SU7 for importing and then open the SKP file with SU8 to work on it.
Best !
Gaieus,
if it's you the one in the avatar space, then you`re almost identical to the european husband of a Pakistan friend of mine I knew a long time ago when we were both foreign students at a university in Tokyo.
I don`t remember if he was from Germany or from eastern europe.
Not that this means anything to you, I know.
But when I saw the picture I thought for a moment "Gosh, I know him".
