I'm having the same problem but only when trying to simulate lots at the same time.
Here's the model and some pics.
When I have only one oar there's no problem but with all of them the program crashes.
NOTE!
In this model I didn't attach the jonts and motors to the model yet.
Is there a free plugin to animate parts of a model?
I'm working on a Greek trireme and sketchyphisics works when making one oar move but weh I try is with all the oars on one side (23 oars) sketchup crashes.
Any help would be appriciated!

Im working on a model of a Greek galley but when working on the oars the hinges blend when playing it in physics.
Is there a way to solve this?
Is it possible to walk through my sketchup model with wasd or the arrow keys like in a game?
