yup...looks like reducing the burn value could solve the problem!

Artisan is the plugin you are looking for. costs for this plugin are 39 $.

RE: Present your best work!
very nice keyboard model...the top edges of the keys though could use just a little bit of bevelling for the bit of extra realism in my opinion

RE: Temple Of Apollo Stourhead Gardens
Stourhead is definetely a prime example of an english landscape garden, which belong to the era of classicism if i don't remember my garden history seminar uncorrectly.

RE: Temple Of Apollo Stourhead Gardens
wow that's an amazing image chedda!
is the lighting done by a HDRI? the one thing about maxwell bothering me, is that i can't use HDRI lighting and the physical sun at the same time. would be awesome to have the main lighting done by HDRI and get some highlighting by the physical sun.

RE: Monument preservation - 1927 housing development
thank you Daniel!
the first images actually were WIP status...the last one is from the finished model, but i thought it wasn't worth opening a new thread for one image. -
RE: JAPC WORKS
for me there's too much sky on the images. the model almost gets lost. for me the renders are too minimalistic, some textures would be nice, but i guess that's a question of taste.

RE: Gold Fish Restaurant
erm...it's not restourant, it's restaurant!
nevertheless nice visualisation...but the pavement looks like a scaled up bathroom tile texture. the gaps between the tiles are too big.

RE: Create a maxwell sub-forum?
i guess you're right...i just realised that there where many maxwell related questions in the past days/weeks. but i can't tell you why there should be a maxwell sub-forum and for the other applications not. and the maxwell questions could be answered anyways, so after all it was just a suggestion

Create a maxwell sub-forum?
i don't know if this is the right place for a suggestion like this: Wouldn't it be nice to make a sub-forum like the v-ray one here for maxwell render issues? Jason_Maranto would be a great moderator, if he's interested in such thing.
Sorry if this is inappropriate to write in this place!

Here's a dawn-time scene from this project. Credits for the very nice BMW 7 series model go to mandun.

RE: Black Marble Bathroom
thumbs up for no noise in this reflective cube
how long did it have to render for this?
-
RE: Metal puzzle
no artisan here? how did you achieve those round endings?
nice and effective modelling!

RE: Platanus
lawyered! it indeed looks like a camouflage pattern...but i have to repeat that in the rendering the texture doesn't look realistic.
i don't know if this is platanus x hispanica but the platanus trees here in germany have a much lighter bark. it more looks like this
...of course it too depends on how old the tree is.
-
RE: Platanus
nice model, but the bark needs a better texture. it looks like a digital-camouflage pattern of the us. army
