RE: Maxwell. One half darker problem (not an emitter)
@pieterv said:
In the first render the two sides of the road were two components that I flipped along an axis (mirrored)
Thats what I meant. After mirroring explode the component or the group and group it again. The texture on the flipped side can have some artefacts. So the workaround you mentioned is right, although you can try this out just with the flipped component.

RE: Maxwell. One half darker problem (not an emitter)
Is the second roadside made as a copy with textures?
I know some problems with textures when they were scaled to the opposite.
In that case you have to regroup this part again. I do not think it is component related. -
RE: Maxwell Emitters not working...Please Help
It should work. May I ask when hitting the Render Button ( not fire ) is the light shown up in the preview window on the left bottom corner?

RE: What is your favorite overall rendering engine for SketchUp?
The best is to have alook at the Product Galleries or in the forum over there.
Btw. Maxwell will have the colimo integration too ( it is in pipeline ) and has with multilight a very nice feature.
Maxwell has a free and a small fee standalone Sketchup application,
Thea can be a lot faster ( biased and unbiased )and is much cheaper with a full package to start with.
Both are great. -
RE: What is your favorite overall rendering engine for SketchUp?
If you like Keyshot, take a look at Bunkspeed Shot. The Pro Version contains lightsources.
Fryrender or Maxwell doesn't take to much.
Depends of your hardware ( when you want to update ) take a look at Octanerender, very fast but GPU based.
From the list you'll see the leaders here.

RE: Using Textures - A Really Basic Question
seamless just means the texture frames does not repeat.
The patterns are image based so you will have them overall. You have to go to large images ( thats why good textures are having large MB sizes ) which is unfortunately not good in Sketchup. Another way is to use a prog like imagesynth or pixplant ( or Photoshop, but I do not know how ) to load the seamless texture and change this patterns with a brush tool or similar. - depends on the software you use. That
s what I do. -

RE: [solved] Material causes Bugsplat
It was localized, Jason...after I copy my Plugin folder into the English Version it happens here also.
And...it is not you but still happens with the RAL Librarie and that's interesting enough. -
RE: [solved] Material causes Bugsplat
Sorry for beeing late. For sure, I have Maxwell installed and the Bugsplat occurs when after selecting the RAL Material I just apply it onto a face.
I had made some cross tests with these Plugins, so I'm sure that every single Plugin force Sketchup to quitt. It is for those who could have the same problems - and me, because it is interesting to know what does skm Materials have to do with non Material Plugins.
It was mentioned in the BIM Plugin here, on SuPodium and Maxwell Forum too. For now Jason postet a part of a new RAL file, which I have to test now.
I'll keep you informed if they work. -
RE: [Plugin] SketchUpBIM: Building Modeling made easy!
There is a conflict with this Plugin and those who use Maxwell with the Materials from Jason Maranto.
These Materials are RAL Libraries with attributes linked to Maxwell mxm. If you apply a Material Sketchup crashes imidiately.
This happens also with SuPodium and Driving Dimension from Ledas. Took a while to find out whats going wrong here.
If you need a reference Material I posted one here:
http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=43138Tested it with the new 1.5 also

RE: [solved] Material causes Bugsplat
Yes, I reported these on SuPodium and will do it here and with Ledas too.

RE: [solved] Material causes Bugsplat
A conflict between Maxwell attributes and SuPodium,Sketchup Bim and Driving Dimensions. All three forces Sketchup to splat. Thanks to all

RE: LumenRT 2 Released
What I noticed is, that visible Layers are not controlled by Lumen RT.
I try the animation on interiors. The ceilling is invisible on Layer in the first Scene, but also in my second Scene, where the Layer is enabled.
Would be nice to controll that, so I have a top view without ceilling and a inside view with ceilling.
Should be good to have this with all Scene functions like Hidden Geometry as well as Active Section Planes.
Possible? For the Interior scene I mentioned above, I have to make a new one because of the file size. Will do it by time.
