Thanks for looking Jakob... I tried that earlier but I was having problems where the grades die into the retaining walls... I should probably just spend more time playing around with the grades in AutoCAD to see if I can come up with a better solution...

I think on his other post he mentioned that he uses Artlantis Studio 2?

Site plan help...
This may be easier than I think it is.... but I'm having problems making this site plan work! There are 2 retaining walls at the right side of the building and at the rear... and I can't get the contours to do what I want when I hit "create from contours" button. I was wondering if someone has a better idea of how to put together the site... if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated! I'm not asking you to do it for me... I was just wondering if maybe someone can kinda talk me through it... won't learn anything otherwise! I attached the .skp so you can see what I'm working with... thanks in advance...

RE: Indoor Tennis Facility
Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions... I'm working on a site plan for a car dealership right now but once I get done with it I will get back to doing a rendering, adding duct work, and framing the windows so they don't look as if they're floating!

RE: Form and function furniture
Nice stuff Pete... could never afford them if they were built... but nice stuff!

RE: Indoor Tennis Facility
I have that problem too... damn elephantitis (sp?)! I can hear the song "Do your balls hang low, do they wobble to your toes, do you tie them in a knot, do you tie them in a bow...."
I'll give it a shot sometime Pete... could be interesting...

RE: Indoor Tennis Facility
Well kinda... I exported the the image with the lines turned off then I exported another image with just the sketchy line style... so it is straight sketchup output but combined in photoshop... thanks!

Indoor Tennis Facility
Here is a indoor tennis facility for a country club. I did this a few weeks ago but forgot to post it! Modeling time was about an hour... I used the ceiling tile material to do the vinyl faced batt insulation and I thought it came out pretty well... what'cha think?

RE: Google Chrome (Beta) Windows
They can use my stuff all they want! It's not like they're going to use it anyway

RE: [WIP] Residence w/ post-processing
You can use other entourage to help break the infinite ground plane. I use a combination of people, trees, cars, and other landscape elements from within sketchup... just keep playing around and you'll figure it out!

RE: Google Chrome (Beta) Windows
I actually like Chrome! It is faster than any other internet browser I've used... and ESPN doesn't lock up on me like it used to with Safari... so I think I'm going to stick with it for a while!

RE: Today's Nightclubs?
This may seem like a weird suggestion... but go to a travel website! You may be able to find a place of interest, then from there you could go on to see what the night life is all about. They usually have information about nightclubs, restaurants, bars, etc. I've been to a couple of nightclubs here in NC and they lean more toward the drinkers! Big bar with a small dance floor... I'm not saying it is a bad thing cause I can't dance! (big

RE: Car renders,WIPs&videos
Very nice... not much into car modeling myself but this last one you've done is amazing! Nice job!

RE: Hello! Love the board... care to critique a project?
I agree with Boo about the fire extinguisher... if it has to be there just change it to a different color so it doesn't take your eye away from the building! I like the image as a whole but I think that since your building has shadows your shrubs and trees need them too! Nice stuff... looking forward to more!

RE: LUroomWIP: last view...
All right... well can you post a link to where you get these DC filters? I'll look myself as well and I will download your crazy cats! Thanks Tom!

RE: LUroomWIP: last view...
Haha... the cat is at it again! I like the last 2 best Tom... those spots did take away from the other images! I really like this scene...

EDIT: How did you get that border around that last image? I've been trying to do something like that but I can't get those results... I'm using Photoshop CS... so any hints would be helpful!

RE: Small House 80m2 , WIP
If you are using kerkythea... change the radius dial and see what happens (i usually set mine around 20 for exterior renders)... you'll have to experiment to see what works best for you... make sure you have soft shadow checked too!... you may have to wait longer for clearer shadows but it is well worth it!

RE: Small House 80m2 , WIP
Yea... you need better textures... more segments on your models closer to the camera...softer shadows... and i hope you don't have any over weight friends cause I'm positive they would break those kitchen chairs in a heart beat! Not to be nit picking or anything
