My computer (mac) runs anti-aliasing, but it can only be turned on/off. Anyone know Why?

RE: Skb file location
The Mac version of sketchup doesn't create skb's as far I I know, only windows. So, agreeing with hazza... Why are they even there?

Probably an obvious question... (sketchup 7 compatibility)
Now that sketchup 7 is out; do you think there'll be any sketchyphysics compatibility issues between versions? Will it work just as well on the newer version of sketchup?

RE: 3D warehouse question
My most "popular model" is a model I made a while back; a low-poly large beanbag chair, that I don't even think I did a very good job on : with around 400 views and 330 downloads a week. 8 people have added it in their collections, and it has 55 ratings. HOW!??! it has to be my least detailed model, easiest model(done in like 10 minutes), and doesn't even have that many tags!
model found here: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=de862f78d1412e5268d4f5a3519f61be
My second most "popular model" is a photo-textured version of someone else's posable version of someone else's colored version of someone else's extract of master chief from halo 3: with around 430 views and 250 downloads a week.
model found here: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=ec26ff8e5bcd25a25dfd2d7998768282
after those two models, the download rate plummets to 70, the 50, then 30, etc. I REALY don't get why certaion models are so popular

RE: How do lasers work
haha. C.phillips, if it was mine you downloaded, I can't believe you didn't test it
It depends on who's laser you saw, but I could tell you how any of them work. Mine is called "sketchyphysics superlaser" found here: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=3fc84acdf13d2b5cf2b4b4fc81fd83b7.
If you turn on hidden geometry you will see that there is a cylinder on an oscillating piston, going back and forth along the laser at high speeds. This blasts anything it touches away.On a similar note, I also made a trip-mine type bomb called "sketchyphysics superbomb" found here: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=c847e23ae4057988d173374b4d195bd8 .
It's a frozen object with a hidden frozen cone below it, that when touched, launches upwards on a piston, in a sort of explosion, launching the object that touched it.you can test both these models out first hand by going to this adress, and downloading this model, which contains many parts made by other modelers, as well as the R.O.V., bomb and laser by me. (with your internet browser): http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=150604696d5db0e0f887dbf23285d063
%(#808080)[NOTE: I also made normal, non "super" versions of these models on the warehouse, but they arn't as amazing
BTW, the sketchyphysics superbomb tends to have the SP glitch found in this thread: http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=13470. It seems to only happen when an object is un-frozen by a collision. When clicked, the glitch does not appear...]

RE: SketchyPhysics 3 Video
Oh. what i was thinking for accelerating along a slider is so that when using a joystick, you could push it up to raise something, and when you let go, it stays there. it would also mean that there would be a way to control a slider with no 'ends', and with a bit more control. I was thinking of using it in something that works kinda like a claw machine with a joystick (the kinds in arcades). another thing; in the current version, when you have multiple objects connected to a piston, only one of them is controllable, the other works as though it was on a slider. will that issue be fixed?

RE: SketchyPhysics 3 Video
I see the copy/paste problem seems to be fixed! Is that a particle system I see in there? also, will there be a way to have a controllable piston where the controller controls how fast it moves along the piston, instead of it's position on it? BTW, in weeks, when do you expect the next sp release to be? (I can't wait 'till I can use it on my mac)

RE: GML texturizer 2.0
Great, but is there a way to get a mac version?

RE: Stretchy joints
Also, this might not have to do with this thread, but it's the closest I can find with the new way the forum is set up; apparently, there's a bit of a problem with the centre of mass when objects are grouped together. See the model found on this page: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=ed4c34756a2a4a2c3edc7bf5ae2420 Someone else has probably mentioned this earlier, but I was just wondering, will it be fixed?

RE: Stretchy joints
A while ago, I made a ragdoll using ball joints, but for some reason, when I drag it around really fast, it's limbs start to fly around randomly. Fortunately, it wasn't that big an issue since it wouldn't usually fly around near that speed unless you were trying to get it to. Lately i've been thinking of making another version with the joints moved around a bit, some joints changed with universal joints, and the settings of the joints tweaked, for more realistic movement. But before this, I need to know: is there a way to fix the model from doing this?
Here's the model:

RE: SketchyWiisics
Cool! There's a program I go for my mac called DarwiinRemote that allows me to use a wiimote, as well as the nunchuk extension and classic controller extension to control my computer; and even put shortcuts for the buttons! hopefully when SP comes out for macs, I'll be able to test if the Wiimote works like a joystick in it. (since it's considered a joystick by my computer)

RE: Can someone fix this please :D
This is a long shot, and I don't know if it'll work, but you could put two motors on each wheel, one for joyLX (or joyRX) and one for joyLY (or joyRY). I don't have sketchyphysics on the computer I'm using right now, so I can't test it myself...

RE: Breakable connections
Great!
Oh, and something else i've been wondering about... will, or is there already a way to change the density of individual objects? -
RE: Is there a date?
@starwarsknower said:
Yeah lol, hey btw i dont know wether i have the latest version, someone said on another thread about the magnet tool, i dont have that tool. Do i have the latest version because i dont have that tool.
The magnet tool is not in the toolbar, but it is in sketchyphysics. The only way I know of to get it is in the model found on this page: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=df3fc11432a3d976dd4ae31754f66f15.
By the way, is there an expected release date for the next version of sketchyphysics? -
Breakable connections
A feature I would like to see in a future release of sketchyphysics is the ability to connect objects with something like a breakable joint. What I mean by "breakable joint" is a connection, probably a joint, between objects that can be broken under pressure, maybe with a strength setting from 1-100, 1 being breaking on contact, and 100 indestructible. I got the Idea from a computer game called "bridge builder" (see http://www.bridgebuilder-game.com/ and go to 'game info' under 'bridge building game' in the menu on the left). The Idea is to be able to make things like bridges, and to have them breakable, without just being frozen.

Magnet joint questions + issue
β’I've noticed that the "magnet" joint doesn't really act so much as a magnet, than as gravity. The range is much larger than a magnet, but the strength is also much weaker (If you're wondering, yes I am aware that range doesn't work yet). Also, I believe that magnet joints should be made to only affect objects they are connected to, just as normal magnets only affect certain objects
(like some metals).β’Also, if it's possible, maybe they could be turned on and off, like electromagnets.
I have also noticed that the magnet joint doesn't work when it it grouped with an object; will this be fixed in later releases?
