un lavoro molto interessante. E direi che una delle finalitΓ didattiche Γ¨ anche di dare vita a un poema che potrebbe sembrare pesante e invece Γ¨ una delle storie piΓΉ belle di sempre

RE: Model home+ Vray render
I like the designs, but you should start using vray materials to have good looking surfaces. Vray installs quite a lote, and you find a lot more on their site

RE: Help with VISMAT please...
look for diffuse and bump channels. Click on the little m on the right, select Bitmap from the drop down menu that appears and then load the immage. You should have two images, one with diffuse in the name, one with bump. The first goes in the diffuse channel, the second in the bump channel

RE: Autumn Render SU > Maxwell
Hi Richard, yours is a great render.
Can I ask you to link the tutorials you made about the environment? They would come in handy

RE: Billboard 3D trees, results.
dtrarch, that's what I was going to say too: although I don't like particularly the atl trees. Using onyx the result is much better IMO.
Nice job Gaieus!
This metod also works for 2D props in photoshop

Your wireframes = masterpieces

RE: An Office
Light is one of those things that drive me mad when rendering... I figure I have to play with it a bit more.
Nektares, just a question... is "Stronzi" the name of your client?
-
RE: 50's Living Room
Awesome as always, just one thought: you used the same brush for the cigarette smoke in each image... and this gives it away a bit.
Try using different brushes for the three images.. I think it will be a subtle change that improves things
As with your bathroom, I'd love to se a wireframe of this

RE: Exterior
It's a matter of perspective: when you orbit the camera to look up from you (say you are looking at a tall building) the vertical lines of the building are not parallel anymore, because they tend to an infinite point of view.
If you manage to set the camera height equal to the point of view height, in this case only horizontal lines will be in perspective, while vertical lines in the model will be parallel.
Try drawing a cube in Sketchup, orbit around it, then go to Camera>2D perspective.
It should give you the idea.

RE: Bathroom
Thank you so much for the reply, you also told me something I needed to know: I am buying a quad core in the near future and wanted to know what kind video card get with it. Now I know, thanks to you. And yes you're spot on on textures: I remember the iclone models from the warehouse.. they look so real and yet they are so low poly it's incredible, really.
Thanks again for all the information, i hope to be posting something nice myself too in the next few days

RE: Bathroom
Pardon me for asking... what kind of pc are you using, and how long did the render take. With all that geometry... a model like that in Sketchup on my pc would slug down to a halt.
Plus, I am sooo digging your xray with endpoints stile... Awesome!
