    • Two component names for one component

      Hi,

Can anyone help? I have created a model where I seem to of created a component twice for the same drawn entity (in the component window the same drawn entity appears twice). Is there a way to remove one of these instances without deleting the actual drawn entity?

This is causing a problem when I try to use the cutlist plugin.

      Any help much appreciated.

      Cheers,

      Dan

Thanks for the tip, much quicker than redrawing.

Thank you ever so much for that, really helpful. Had a bit of trouble doing the deletes but got there in the end. Thanks again.

    • Cross cut in a curviloft skin contour

      Hi,

I have created a sculpted seat using bezier curves and curviloft plugins. I am trying to find a way to produce "cross cuts" through this shape. I want to create a number of regular sections with gaps between to form slated planks.

I have tried drawing a rectangle and placing this through the model and then using the intersect tool. This does not seem to allow me to break the curves and when I select an area of the sculpted section sketchup still selects the whole rather than the intersected area.

Any ideas? Can this be done? Any help would be much appreciated.

      Cheers,

      Dan

OK, thank you. That is what I ended up doing, shame you can't go back and edit, great plugin all the same.

    • Removing rounded corners

      Hi,

Totally new to Sketchup, have looked at many tutorials and have been able to create some good models, mainly for furniture making.

I have just been playing with the plugin rounded corners. I have created a component with a rounded edge. Is there a way to revert that rounded edge back to a corner using the plugin? I don't seem to be able to select the rounded edge using the tool so I can edit it.

Any help would be really appreciated.

      cheers,

      Dan
