Many Bits added, Anchors, Many lines, 182 Bits and a few other small things, Not to many things left to add to the exterior, Looking forward to start the texturing process.

Still trying to get some decent Cutaway renders, seems theres no easy way around it, going to have to sit and cut the section to view through manually

Haha Thanks Solo, but I dont think she counts as low poly anymore, she hit the 100k mark
A quick Look in Game :

Tried to get some renders with the Exterior Opacity set on 50% and seperate lighting for the interior, Will still need to fiddle with that in max, didnt quite work out
Here are some renders with the top deck removed along with all the Parts above the Gun Deck.

Thanks, Ill get a render for you asap
More details added, still much more to do on this Deck but its getting there :

Liam887, I am using and Avarage of 12 Segments with 3 sided Circles for the long curved lines, and single 3 sided for the straight ones.
The seperation of the Main Deck was not an easy one, there will be 2 models of this deck , one with Guns Stowed and one at quarters with all furniture and Paneling stowed below.

This is still just a basic detail of the Main Deck, there are still many Items to be added.
Thanks Guys!
@ Aaronfeld, im Using 3ds max 2010 to render with only a plane and a skylight
@ Bryan K, I wish
that would be nice Indeed!
Heres a little Update :

Added many Lines mostly for the Sails Furled Model as VSF does not support moving Ropes yet

Thanks Guys, Itching to get to texturing but have to contain myself...
18 Foot Jolly Boat complete with 18.5 Ft Sweeps.

Hey guys, Started a New Project, Using a combination of Frigate plans for this Fictional Vessel and Named her After my favourite Author`s Ship in his latest Book "Conquest"
She is a 38 Gun British Frigate with a Length of 135 Feet, with her being Fictional she has no history so... Short post and then over to the pics

And here is the 24ft Launch :

The Launch has 20ft Sweeps (Oars) and will be sailable along with the 18ft Jolly Boat.
The Launch took 5 hours to model, the rest was started on the 25th of October 2011
Hi Brian,
Thanks! She might end up for the VSF sailing comunity, Im actually focusing on using her as a referance model at the moment.
Thanks Mitcorb, glad you enjoy them
After doing some research on this type of tugm there seems to be no shortage of colour schemes availavle
http://www.skipsfarts-forum.net/read.php?TID=6809
This should translate into a repaint or 2 if I can keep my psd files tidy enough
Well work on the Bridge has started, I have limited information and have yet to find some more pics of what can be found in a bride such as this :

Hi Roger, I think what you need to see is here : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anchor_handling_tug_supply_vessel
The drums aft are removeable as those are Cables setup for laying on the ocean floor, They will be able to be removed in game ,I will be adding some Rig anchors along with other types of "cargo" soon.
The odd shape of her is perpose designed, and I have no explanation yet for its shape
Here is the next project ,a 1980`s AHTS :

It will be textured and mapped properly once all modeling is done, and all Modeling is being done in Sketchup. She is around 15000 Polys at the moment with a budget of between 15k - 20k (exterior).
Thanks Brayn
Well thats this one complete, thanks for your input guys!

Below is the attached Ship in Sketchup.
Texturing pretty much complete, still need to add the furled sails and texture them, Another nice thing about using custom textures like this is the bump mapping that can be used ,Ive added this bump map using the main texture, looks good in game but the bump texture is twice the size as the original texture.

Sunset shot showing the bump at work clearly

Ive uploaded the hull with the blank Sketchup hull next to it if you guys want to have a look at it, Sketchup tends to loose some of the mapping on import so white poly`s can be expected.

All parts in and marked, sail textures already made just not shown in this shot, had to remap all the sails as overlapping the jib textures was just not going to work out, will keep it hidden until everything is textured

Hmmm sharing the Jib texture with Sails that are not the same in angles is going to prove to be interesting
Had an issue with Max that has been bugging me for a long time now, months infact maybe even years, when using the mirror mod in the dropdown menu from the top menu bar to flip the sail to create your left and right model, it would flip the lighting in game so the light would seem to come from below on the model in game, well.... I tried using the mirror mod in the modifier Tab, worked like a charm

Thanks Bryan K
Taking a little break from texturing to do the sails, the goal here is to create one texture for 5 moving sails, the surface are is quite large so I dont think a 1024x1024 will look so great, but will see, can always make it a 2048 and rescale it if its oversized, here is a shot directly from SU :
