Wow this is fantastic stuff,I think some slight shading under the car would make it fit in abit more,oh and to reduce the shaking try a tripod,and if you need to move like you did in the clip,try the tripod on a skateboard
(If sound isnt that important)

Thx i did go through it,just didnt get it at first,ive done it on my work pc but this old horse does not seem to support,will have to try at home.

Have a look when exporting from SU,next to the export file format (in your case 3ds) there is a option tab,stand alone edges should be unticked.

Hmm that looks rather odd,usually on import the poly lines are shown,but i see in your case some faces still have the polylines hidded but others not,Normally in that case i would give it a slight smoothing angle to hide them but im sure in your case you would like to see the curved lines correct?

Umm Mike I can say I dont think I have such tendancies,but worst of all is I cannot fathom why you ask.
As for KT renders,i just use it because it looks much better in WIP post then SU renders do and my main objective for the models are to render well in game,watching my polycount has been the hardest part but SU has perfect control over it,I use no plugins to build these and most of them I draw line by line,1 face at a time.
Oh except the sails of course..SSB is used there.

Try Grouping the seperate objects when they are apart? Works for me

I had this same problem trying to use high res custom textures,the reduction is horrific,I checked my reg for the "max" file,none there

I did add 50% specular to the rails but allas..no bump,ill give it all a try tonight,this pc im on now takes about 30mins a render (only to find a lighting error,not to pleasant)

Thx guys,
I did forget to mention she has a full interior,ive added a swinging cott in the Orlop Room,16 swinging Lanterns and the guns have 2 separate models,one with them stowed away as seen above,and one with the gun deck cleared and guns run out.
Just to clarify,here is a early shot in SU :And in VS before she was textured during testing:
Since I started her on 03Oct08 Ive had much fun making her,but the task of exporting all the moving models into the sim is a daunting and tedious one.

HI SU comunity,I have been pressed here by Crazy eyes to post some of my works.
Here is my current WIP:This is my 13th Ship ive made since I started in Nov2007 and the learning progress is very visible in each model.Above Renders in KT.
My ships are made for the simulator Virtual Sailor 7.
