    • Image texture resolution limitation

      Hello everyone,
      I use Sketchup 8+Vray 1.49.01, Win7 64 bit
I understand that there is a limit of 1024x1024 pixels for importing image textures ,
and it doesn't matter if i have high resolution texture,Sketchup downgrades image resolution to a maximum 1024 pixels.
When i turn on "Use Maximum texture size", it can improves image visibility just on screen depends on my graphic card, but when exporting Jpeg format image, the texture image appears blur.
Anyone knows when i use Vray for SU,my render output suffers from this image textures limitation up to 1024x1024 pixels?

      Thank to all in advance

Ultimate Unwrap 3D and UV Layout 2 Pro are both import/export to Sketchup effectively?

    • UV mapping texture software

      Hi to all,
i guess UV mapping texture issue in Sketchup has already raised not once,
i would like to hear personal recommendations relay on your experiences about UV mapping texture software,

both free and for purchase - there are programs about same price(more or less 60$),so it's hard to decide without listening people who used this programs and could say what they prefer to use with Sketchup - import/export to Sketchup.

and another question to compare plugins for organic modelling - compare Artisan with Tgi3D Amorph(i know that Artisan costs less) - would like to hear about organic modelling capabilities of both programs

      Thanks a lot

      Hello,

The scene is beautiful, but nobody can use that hidden toilet!

i don't know in which world of luxury and plenty you live in,but there are places on our planet with "modest" and economical planning where this kind of bathroom layout is typical reality - it's 90 cm width between tub and sink

    • RE: Bathroom render

yes, there are two kinds of wall tiles...
reply to pbacot - let me disagree with your design comment - if you have rectangle proportion of bathroom - this is an arrangement - order is from the door when you entering - first sink, then toilet, then the tub,and this on one line - there are no situation of both using the toilet and the tub πŸ˜„

      Thanks,
just to ply to your comment - ies light pretty strong - 4,500 intensity, maybe it seems blurry because of glow effect that i have used in Photoshop in post-production,
about height of towel to access - it's about 135 cm from the floor, exactly like front towel rack height

    • RE: Saving materials problem.

      Hi,
it's good that you have solved saving materials problem with updated version, but you can meet another problem in 1.49 version - when you hit render, you might get error notice that program meets problem and can't render - in this case - click okay, and close your file without saving your model, because if you save file after receiving this error message, your material settings might disappear. it's bug so save your file before you hit render command

    • RE: Living room render

You mean whole the work?it's my design too, so it was kind of"wasting" time on planning decisions or you mean render production?Let's say 35-40 hours all together - planning, modelling, textures mapping, render testing and render production+ Photoshop
