Texture image size limit
-
Hello everyone,
I use Sketchup 8+Vray 1.49.01, Win7 64 bit
I understand that there is a limit of 1024x1024 pixels for importing image textures ,
and it doesn't matter if i have high resolution texture,Sketchup downgrades image resolution to a maximum 1024 pixels.
When i turn on "Use Maximum texture size", it can improves image visibility just on screen depends on my graphic card, but when exporting Jpeg format image, the texture image appears blur.
Anyone knows when i use Vray for SU,my render output suffers from this image textures limitation up to 1024x1024 pixels?Thank to all in advance

if we can find the file you reference for the texture on your computer, at the path specified, you will be rendering with the full resolution image. If you rely on SketchUp to provide the texture for the render, by moving or deleting the file for example, then we extract the image from SketchUp and use that.

Thank you very much for the answer

and if image file located on my computer with specified path, it doesn't matter if this vismat material that i have imported to material editor in Sketchup or jpeg format file that i use to create material with material layers in Vray material editor?
Thank you again -
We use the path specified in the V-Ray material editor's properties. If this fails, we try to search for the image. If this fails, we extract the image from SketchUp.
