    • Component Classification

I am just starting to use the classification (type) attribute in my components. I see that Sketchup comes with IFC 2x3 classification system.

I have always used CSI Masterformat for organizing my projects. Does anyone know if there is a CSI scheme file available anywhere?

If not is it possible to create my own? I am an architect pretty skilled with Sketchup but not a computer programer.

      Thanks.

    • RE: Non-Printing Layer

Not according to my knowledge - besides, I'm not sure I understand where such a feature would be needed... ๐Ÿ˜

Can you please enlighten us and give some examples where it would be a nice feature, where you make an object visible on the screen or in the document, however, where it's not supposed to be printed...

I also would like this feature. I have a layer that is visible on every page called "Guides" with guidelines that I use to locate drawings and text on the sheet. It is a huge PITA to turn this layer off on every sheet before printing. I always end up reprinting a few sheets because this layer was inadvertently left on. It would be much better to leave this on all the time and just know that it won't print.

    • Layout Auto-save file bad

I just had a Layout crash after an approximately 4 hour work session. When I restarted Layout and opened the recovered file I received an error message "pages missing". Once the file opened I discovered there were only three out of Nine pages (The three that I had been working on during this session).

The pages were unchanged from when I began work 4 hours earlier. My Auto-save is set to 5 minutes.

I am guessing that the crash happened during an auto-save. I am on a Mac and have time machine. I thought that I could just enter time machine and look for the auto-save file that was active at my last time machine backup but I am not able to find where the auto-save files are located.

Does anyone have any ideas that might help me recover my lost work?
