    • RE: How to make screw threads?

This is something I really want to learn. Is there a video anywhere showing exactly how to do it? All I want to do is show the threaded portion of a bolt sticking out the back of a nut.

    • RE: Hello to everyone

Dylan, thanks I will give that a try and let you know how it works out. There is no over hang just a rectangle the same size as the building below. I still have a lot to learn with the axis tool and inference engine thing.

    • RE: Hello to everyone

Dylan, that was exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much! I do have another question if I may ... What I am building, or playing with, is a garage that is pretty standard. I built the lower level with the door openings which looks like what you showed in your video, but topped it with a 1 foot thick roof. That will be the thickness of some gluelam beams to support the second floor loft. Here is my question, I accidently moved that one foot tall section, I made it a component, now I cant seem to place it back on top of the walls exactly where it was. Is there a way to set it back down exactly even with the walls or start from scratch. Im getting really fast at making new walls HAHAHAHA I guess its the only real way to learn repitition. Anyway and help on this ???

    • Hello to everyone

Hello to everyone! I am new here and to SU and I am relly starting to like this program. I do have a question though, I made a simple building with four walls that I made 8 inches thick to resemble a cynder block wall. I had to cut the door myself because of the wall style. I would like to change their location but cant seem to make the wall solid again. Any ideas or do I just hve to start from scratch again? Thanks to everyone that helps.
