Generate Report just prints out the attributes you have attached to Components in your model, it does not do math. To report calculated values such as summed lengths of Components that are labelled a particular way, you will need to create a custom Ruby script. Alternatively, you could generate a report in spreadsheet form and do your own calculations there. You could also get a spreadsheet from the CutList plugin.
Or, as Kris points out, there are several kitchen design extensions/plugins that might do the work for you. There are two aspects that might be downsides depending on your desires: many of them are not free, and you usually have to do the entire project within their system.
