Try to subdivise the geometry of the carpet.
Hello, It is already very subdivided - i used artisan tool - subdivide and subdivide and smooth.
Maybe it is a problem with light cache, i really don't know.

I did my carpet with the same technique and in my first render it looked fine.
Then I opened test scene and i got some kind of black triangles on my carpet (like a hole in geometry). It is because of vropt settings but I can't figure out what is it. Can You help me resolve my problem. I also did one render with default settings and the carpet is nice again.
Hello good people,
I need your help because I don't know how to solve my problem.
I'm working on SketchUp 14.1.1282 and Vray 2.00.26579.
Yesterday I did a test render on carpet I made with displacement tutorial I found on Youtube.
Form me it was enough so I placed it in the scene I prefer.
And now it looks awful because of that black triangles and some weird kind of distortion on the carpet. I like the scene and the light in in but I am certain that some of the settings in the Vray vropt is causing the trouble.
I did another test render in the same scene but I loaded the defaults vropt settings and the carpet looks good again (but everything else looks not to good imho).
Can You help me locate the problem so I can use my favourite settings?
Hello.
This is my first post with some shots of my latest work.
I'm using SU8/Vray1.49.01/PhotoShop.
I'm still learning and this forum is full of great advices.
One and most important question:
What about camera control/position in SketchUp??
I often set a scene/view for my models but for most of my renders i'm not satisfied.
Are You using perspective/two point perspective and what about Field of View?
C&C are welcome.
Best regards.
Hello.
I like the way you work with yours renders.
Could you give some tips about dirt maps - how you use them.
I'm guessing you use V-ray for Sketchup for your renders?
P.S.
I'm not a smart guy or worse but You added some ivy in the front wall (small one next to cars) but there is non in the window reflection.
Just a small detail i think.
Cheers mate:)
