Perfect, thanks everyone. I didn't realize you could continue the push by holding 'control'.

Push pull through non-constant depth geometry
I have attached a model of which I am trying to slightly round the outside profile. You can see the arc that I've drawn and tried to push down to cut it off, but it made me stop where the large outside bevel started. Is there a way to continue to push this curve down straight through the bevel?
Thanks,
David

RE: Push surface through hole
Thanks Tig, that works. How many unwanted parts did you have to delete? I had to delete 12 surfaces and 14 lines. Does that sound right? Or is there a better/easier way to erase the unwanted parts?

Push surface through hole
I have a block with a hole in it. I want to round the top of the block by removing material by pushing an arc drawn on the surface through the hole, but the push-push tool says that the offset is limited to the hole. Is there any way to push this curve through the hole?
I have attached the model as a demo.
Thanks,

RE: Driving dimensions plugin installed but not available?
Ah, so easy.. haha that wasn't in any of the tutorial videos!
I guess I should still be concerned why the plugin didn't appear for future plugins sake?

Driving dimensions plugin installed but not available?
I installed this:
http://download.cnet.com/Driving-Dimensions-for-Google-SketchUp/3000-6677_4-10906912.htmlThen when I opened sketchup, I expected to see a View->Toolbars->DrivingDimensions, but it is not there. I see a Plugins/ldd directory - how can I load the plugin?
Maybe someone knows if it is possible to do the following without the plugin:
I want to draw a line, then tell it "you should be 1' long". This is how I typically work in SolidWorks, and it would be nice to be able to do this in SketchUp.Thanks,

RE: Using Sketchup with Wine
Strange... I turned off my internet, started SketchUp, and it worked (as the website said to do). Then I unchecked the "show at startup" box, turned the internet back on, and all seems to be well.
Thanks for the help/link!

RE: Using Sketchup with Wine
Sorry for the crosspost - I wasn't sure which forum to use - which would you recommend?
Also, I see
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Google/SketchUp7
but no GLConfig or SnappyInstructor directories.
There are BugSplat, CSkDialog, Preferences, WebDialog, WebDialog_, WelcomeDialog.
Thoughts?
Thanks for the quick answer (to be continued ),

Using Sketchup with Wine
I am trying to run Google Sketchup 7.1 with wine-1.1.32 in Fedora 11.
As soon as it opens, it crashes.
I doubt it's helpful, but the end of the crash dump says:
fixme;shdocvw;ClOleCommandTarget_Exec (0x163e48)->((null) 21 2 (nil) (nil)) fixme;wininet;InternetLockRequestFile STUB wine; Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x0000002a at address 0x36fe6fa3 (thread 0022), starting debugger... wine; Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x0000002a at address 0x68471fa3 (thread 0024), starting debugger... XIO; fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ";0.0" after 70 requests (70 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
From everything I read it looks like sketchup should work fine with wine... any thoughts?
Thanks,
Dave
