Settings for area tool
-
When using the text tool you get the area, but it comes with "centimeters2" or "meters2" depending on your setting-units board.
Is it possible to set meters2 to m2.. ?
It would be nice too to be able to set the units independently from the main unit setting, that would means working in cm, and set the area/text tool in m2.Maybe it is possible to do it now but I do not find it

Marc,
Though not in an automated way but you can manually overwrite anything that is in that text box. So you can either use abbreviations or change the units (and the decimals of course).

Didier has made a Find+Replace text tool script. To use it you'd simply make all of your area texts in the default [meters2] then finally run it to find "meters2" and replace it with "m2".

It's pretty easy to envisage a script that also finds text in the format NNNcentimeters2 and then takes the number divides it by 10000 and adds m2 back on... I'll draft one out and put it on the appropriate board...
