Hank, the offset cannot be changed later. The elevation (depth) can, especially with simpler stamps: just select all thet's stamped and move it up/down. To a certain extent (within the boundaries of the offset) you can even carefully move it side ways this way.

          Hm...
These cross references are the sweetest things to transfer to the other board... πŸ˜„

Yeah, actually you guys here are the biggest intuitions - I don't really use the terrain tools so every time there's a question like this it's a kind of challenge...

              Gai and ehaflett,
              thanks for the thread.
The main part of the stamp to be modified would be outside of the offset. When a building has to be moved some distance like 3-6 ft. across the site. I havent been able to successfully accomplish this except by starting over. maybe grouping the stamp and then carefully moving it....

you can nix the reference to the thread, i read it. and thanks.

              Hank

Well Gai, for not using the tool, I think you handled it well. i would have considered your line of work a natural usage of the terrain tools, with all excavations you see. Intuitions...is that any thing like a pita? πŸ˜‰

Never mind Eric - sooner or later we need to transfer everything and updating these references is just a snap ( πŸ˜’ )

Well, I'm just getting into a project where I'll need to use it, I guess.
Otherwise whatever we measure (survey) out in the field, I usually process through with Didier's cloud script.

And a little experience in a tool that one does not often use, has never harmed anyone!
