Water with SU and render engine.

Same problem here

You need to read just above the dowload:

Remember to remove the .skp and unzip attachment.
Attached Files:
water_test.zip.skp (802.67 KB, 1890 views)
At the time (more than two years ago), it was not possible to post a .zip file, so it needed to be disguised as a .skp file.

oops

Here are a couple screen shots to show what I get.....(and stop laughing )
-
In Explorer, open up Folder Options
then go to the View tab,
then untick "Hide extensions for known file types"Then you can rename "water_test.zip.skp" to "water_test.zip" and unzip it.

OMG!!!
That's been downloaded over 1900 times, wish my garden pack could do that well.

Thanks Thomas...

I think you may have something there. Things like water, paving, grass, ground cover are all usually the weak spots especially in renderings, maybe down the line you could develop the rendering weakspots.

On the mac highlite "water_test.zip.skp" by double clicking on it and delete the ".skp"
(like I should have done before my earlier post) a dialogue box will come up confirming your choice. -

I agree , average guy out there wants minimum effort with maximum possible results, minimal learning curve ,SketchUp is there for modeling but still there are weak spots in getting this final output right when rendering and post process is in question. I think there is a great potential market here.
