A Welcome Message to New SketchUcation Members

@mingjae:
I am glad you found a solution, and you responded back. I send my best wishes to you for success. It is best to post problems with specific plugins in the thread for that plugin. For instance, Curvishear. Fredo6 usually responds, as will others who have significant practice with the tool.
While you thank Sketchucation, be sure to thank Fredo6 and others, who are very generous in offering these tools to the community. And, while I am at it, thank you Fredo6, and thank you Sketchucation!!

Hi, mingjae:
I forgot to suggest caution on the "breakover" angle where slope meets level. I think this should not exceed about 7 degrees. Otherwise, the vehicle undercarriage may collide with the pavement. -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Y6Rn3CusRc&feature=youtube_gdata for those who use sketchup for imvu i made a tutorial at the end of last year which shows you from start to finish and even importing it to imvu. the video is under 6 minute but very easy to follow, if you would like to know anything else dont be afraid to contact me
Its nice, but it has a way to high poly-count for what you are trying to use it. when using the curve tool reduce the ammount of segments, by changing the number bottom/right of the window.

hello i've been a member for a while but not made any posts..... hoping to learn some good tricks in sketchup and i guess some rendering tips would be useful.
-
Hi Stuart and "welcome" (if I can say this to a member almost here for a year).
-
Howdy ho, everyone! I'm Jean Marie and I'm a newbie to the forums and a newbie to Google Sketch-up. I utilize AUTOCad and Maya for many of my other 3-D needs, but I had never gotten around to using Google Sketch-up. Hopefully I'll learn a thing or two. Anyway, hope to meet everyone soon.

Hi. My name is Goonster. I
ve had Sketchup for a while now but still consider myself to be something of a newbie as far as the program is concerned. I like to use Paint.Net for making pictures and doing a bit of post processing of my SU work. I also have Gimp and Terragen 2 which is great for creating photo realistic landscapes. At the moment I am concentrating on making furniture to use in a house project I
m doing and last week I uploaded my first two items to the 3D Warehouse. Hopefully I`ll learn even more during my stay here. -
Hello you all!
I'd like to introduce myself. I live near Frankfurt (Germany) and like Sketchup since about 3 years, for profession as well as for private works (furniture and inner-buildings etc).
Now i found this forum... ...so i hope to get better.I'm very sorry for my bad and childish english; i'm not used to it.
And i've got a stupid question, it's my first download of a ruby.
I think, i'm a typical layer-8-problem :i downloaded 'shape bender' (thx to the programmer!), and as demanded 'progressbar'.
In the .zip, there is a lone-standing file named clf_shape_bender_loader.rb,
and in this file following is shown:
require 'sketchup.rb'
require 'extensions.rb'
require 'progressbar.rb'Ok, the first means to activate the ruby-console, right?
But what does extensions mean? Another necessary download?
And do i have to unzip all, or just drag and drop this loader-file?Thx for patience...
-
Hi Oskar and first of all, welcome!
Extensions means that you will need to activate the plugin after you install it under Window > Preferences > Extensions. It also comes with a one-button toolbar that you can activate under View > Toolbars once you activated it and restarted SU.

Good morning Gaieus,

Edit: And now it works. Great!
I've never performed such an easy installation before! -
Hi,
I just joined yesterday.
My name is Diane and I use AutoCAD but would like to integrate Sketchup into my drawings.
I mainly doing Subdivision and condo layouts and it would be great to see the buildings come to life.
Any advice is welcome. -
Well, D_russ:
While everyone else is napping, welcome.
I am an Autocad user, too. But there are plenty of others here and they use a lot of other 2d and 3d programs, as I am sure you know.
You just ask away. Take some time to become familiar with the Forum. -

I have trouble when I try to login this forum...
everytime I'll try to login always said "You have been banned from this board until Mon Apr 18, 2011 8:59 am.
Please contact the Board Administrator for more information.
A ban has been issued on your IP address."
till now the solution for log in in this forum is browsing from ninjacloak.com
can anybody help me? -
Hi Indrasukma,
I rarely ban IP addresses and if I do, I only do with static IP's and only for a limited time - so that I do not ban innocent people. When I do ban an IP, it is generally when multiple spambot registrations came from that IP.
Now I can imagine that I made a mistake and banned one that I should not have banned. Please, let me know what your IP address is (if you do not know, visit this site and it says at the top right) and do not write it here but send me a private message (you should not share your IP address - just like your email address).
You can also send me an email message from here.
Edit: I have excluded the IP you registered with from the ban list so maybe this whole contacting is unnecessary.
