Hi, as far as I know, the city generator project by some forum members is not complete yet, but you can find the street generator module here:

Hi~
I am transfer student from Korea to America ^^
I have an opportunity to learn Sketchup in University.
I never seen this program in Korea
I want to use it well.
So I have some questions ^^
First one, mine is Sketup 6, so what is difference between version 6 and 7 ?
Second, I heard Sketup can import CAD file, so how about MAX file ?If I am good at using this program, it is not a big problem to make my work, it will be much easier ^^
I will keep in touching this site usually ^^
I hope so this site gives me some useful informations ^^ -

First, you will want to download version 7 for free. Overall it is faster and more stable. Both versions will import .dwg or .dxf from AutoCad. Usually you want to bring SketchUp into Max and not the other way, but if you must, simply export from Max as a .3ds and import that into SU.
Hope you do well in your class. -
Hi,
Just signed up a minute a go.
I am a student from Holland and have a bit of experience with the 3D-CAD program Catia V5. I used it for a internship in Holland.
I always had trouble with some of the functions from the system, it's a good program if you want to calculated the strength of a construction but I think it's to much work for some simple things.Begin of september I have started a internship in Indonesia, I needed a program to design a workshop and I found sketch-up last week. Really love the program, it has all the things I missed with the other program and have mastered the basics in nearly two evenenings.
Example:
Only having some trouble with uploading my products, sketch-up won't sign me in. I got the username and password right but I shall look in to it this week.
Just a short introducing and gonna take al look at this site, maybe I have a few guestions in the future.
Greets,

Welcome Jos - you don't look like a beginner to me - as for your uploading problems, I had a couple too and was given some suggestions here that you might want to check out: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=21366

Hi. Nice to see all you SU users here! My first question is about the message "You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post." Who does one have to be to not see that message and to access attached files? Thanks. Cheers!
[I think I've solved the problem, but if you think there's anything I need to know, please tell me anyway. Thanks.]

Hi Joe and welcome.
You shouldn't be seeing this message when you are logged in. If you see it logged in, too, it may be some cookie setting problem so try to clear (delete) your forums.sketchucation.com cookies in your browser.

Okay I will check it out, thanks!
Sometimes when I cut away a surface, like for example a window construction with 6 windows, I can't see through the middle window. Not because there is still a surface but just some lines and a transparant grey area. Is this common?
