Hi guys just starting a thread on opinions of AI generally. Is scares the hell out of me. I cannot deny the amazing results of AI some forum members. I am thinking about AI in art and what will kids do finger painting and general self expression and motor skills learned through creating art. How do you think this will change/evolve in the very near future? I recently had treatment for prostrate cancer (Get your PSA checked next time you go to the doctors, please!) my results were sent to the US for ai analysis apparently it took less than 1 second to diagnose and come up with treatment. I think the future of medicine will be truly amazing.
That impact will AI have on the stock market? where you can use an AI agent to control your positions?
It will have an effect on art, finance, politics, war the environment, literature, planing architecture, law, medicine, energy, travel, engineering, admin, forensics, policing and on and on. Imagine a "program" that somebody could ask the program to produce a movie using your prompts the program produces a movie in 20 seconds or less with dialogue and original music score it filters by getting feedback from 1000 or so AI movie critics to filter and perfect the production you could include your friends or family in the production. there it is ready in 20 seconds. You can plug yourself and experience the production and be immersed in the "reality" you produced like living in a alternate parallel universe or many

This stuff breaks my brain into pieces. Penny for your thoughts? love love to hear the insights of others on AI

As long as this current period of AI improvement is used longer term to address real world issues then I don't have any issues.

Finding cures for diseases and conditions to help people. Explore new sciences to improve our quality of life etc.

It should also be a tool used in government to find cost savings, waste and abuse within the system so society benefits.

I'm not overly concerned by AI but it should be a completely open sourced sector not corporate. There's no predicting where it will go if you ask me but since it is so reliant of energy infrastructure there's a concern around countries energy prices increasing as supply is strained.

The next generation will grow up in a different world. Hopefully a better one that we are all proud of.

There will be mistakes along the way, regulation will grow and adapt to the folk who are interested in quick profit and nought else.
As in every form of human endeavour, there is the dark side and the media WILL major on that rather than the positive.

The telephone for example, now teenagers in their bedrooms can call up and terrify elderly people into giving up control of their bank account contents.
Any of this will rely on the "Cannot regulate for stoopid".

ai has apparently been responsible for a whole new line of antibiotic development and THAT has to be positive, as long as the medics do not overprescribe and the media do not terrify the populace into demanding these new drugs as mums did in the sixties for any snotty child. The media having described those drugs available to be "cure-alls".

Every snotty kid around my childhood had to endure mindless overprescribing which caused what? Anti biotic resistant strains because parents stopped meds as soon as the snotty phase ended.

The loss of data in nhs trust due to ransomware? Caused because stoopid middle aged women who were too lazy to do their jobs, clicked on an email in their work account which said "You have won, click here".

Can ai help prevent this? Maybe and THAT would be a massive positive.

"With ALL others, we verify" so, we have to be vigilant and mindful at all times still. Or, "God helps those who help themselves" which is virtually the same thing.

Faces forwards and eyes wide open.

            Have a great day folks.

BTW, all these private dna screening services that are going around? Do you really think the data is out of bounds to insurance companies? Do you really think that it is not being used to develop policy and pricing strategies for the future?

              Wow.
