I feel so angry at the US "medical system" always have, coming from Australia the concept of medicine for profit is Alien. Thing is each individual in the US costs about twice much per capita to the US government $10,000vs $5.000 in Australia and you live 4 years les on average

@L-i-am I added some numbers earlier. I can't make this all add up after the loss of freelance work. Moving, place to live, minus several other monthly payments including I'd need to pay around $150/month for storage.

Type 1 is genetic and it can be treated with diet and a few prescription med. Type 2 is entirely due to not looking after one's self. Mostly only treateable by insulin and lots of monitoring.

It does depend on how early it is caught and if the patient responds with improved diet. exercise etc.

I must start with that I am NOT suggesting a diet for Diabetes or giving medical advice just food for thought (unintended pun) my doctor recommends a carnivore diet he specialises in reversing type 2. He has on of those tiny little box of cornflakes (single serve)I think he said it had 1 teaspoon of sugar, however when it is digested it converts the wheat into 7 teaspoons of sugar. Fun fact

Still here. I think I'm turning into a Marxist. With Type 1 diabetes.

Guess I might have to put stuff in storage and live in some group living thing. Might also have to cancel my Sketch Up subscription and a bunch of other things. No steady income as freelance. The rent is too high. No rental history for the past 14 years. Believe me this house I've been living in is in bad shape.

Anyone have any experience with putting a desktop in a U-Haul storage unit?

Closest I came to that was putting books etc in my folks shed/locker. Mind you, the ol' mum did phone and ask if I had read the books. "Good". "WHY"? "I gave them all to the charity shop, but at least you have read them".

Some of those reference books were in the £200 range when I bought them........
