Insistent tray
-
I just opened an SKP file and every time I press my mouse wheel button the default tray appears. Prior to that the now deleted tray #2 would appear. the other thing that was strange, was all my UI setup had returned to default UI and I had to load all my normal tools , Any Ideas guys? My immediate work around was to move my tray to my second screen of course

SketchUp failing to remember your preferred settings - like trays, toolbars and shortcuts - can be due to an incorrect installation. But you can easily repair it.
Close SketchUp.
Fine its installer's exe file - usually in Downloads and select its icon.
Right-click > context-menu > 'Run as administrator'
When prompted choose 'Repair'
Afterwards restart SketchUp and see if it's improved.
Double-clicking an installer's exe file to 'Run' it is not the same thing - even if you have admin-powers.
Doing that can screw up your permissions and stop preferences getting saved etc...
Doing the repair will not affect anything you have set up, like extensions and licensing etc.
To do it does no harm. -
I will give that suggestion a go Tig thank you. Thing is tough, it was a year ago that I installed SU

@L-i-am since this just started happening but you installed SketchUp a year ago, you should be looking at what has changed recently on your computer. That's a basic rule of troubleshooting anything. Doing what TIG directed won't hurt. You should have installed SketchUp the way he described anyway. But, look at what might have changed. Look at the mouse settings. To what is the center mouse button set? It should be set to Middle Button. Did you install any applications that might have changed the middle button assignment? SketchUp doesn't update on its own so that's not likely the place to look.

If you are worried about not having the installer saved after this time, then you can always download the latest exe from SketchUp...
