Extension manager not working.
-
Hello.
I have a problem with extension manager. I would like to use SimLab OBJ importer. I've bought already, but than the problem has apeared. When I try to open it a blanc window appears. When I try to open Extension Warehouse an information appears that Extension Warehous jas been disabled in my version of Sketchup (2021 PRO). I think the best solution would be to reinstall Sketchup, but I working on company computer and I must have local admin user and password. I've applyied for it , but didn't get answer yet. What is intresting when I click ,,check for updates'' button an information appears that there was a problem checking for updates, check internet connection.
Can anyone know the solution?

If you have an older version of SketchUp which no longer gives direct access to the Extension Warehouse, then you can always open the site in your web-browser and download the RBZ from there.
You can then use the ExtensionManager to load that RBZ manually... -
Support by the Extension and 3D Warehouses for SketchUp 2021 ende on January 31, 2024. As TIG indicated you can access them via your web browser.
For your blank Extension Manager close SketchUp, Paste this into an explorer window: %appdata%\SketchUp\SketchUp 2021 and delete the folder called web cache. Restart SketchUp.

Thank you guys. Sorry, but the solution wit RBZ doesn't say anything to me. The other one with deleting the webcache file not working. In the meantime I get answer from Sketchup support. I guess I will wait until Monday and ask for local admin user and password. Than I will be able to install newest version of sketchup.
Once again thank you for your time.

If you insist on using an older version of SketchUp you need to learn some basic alternatives.
The Extension Manager updates etc and the Extension and 3d-Warehouse are not supported in older versions.
This means you can't install/update from the built-in links.
However, you can open the Extension Warehouse page in your web-browser and from there search for what you want and download an RBZ to your computer, and store it somewhere logical.
You can then use the Extension Manager's dialog to Install it [button near the bottom]...This is not 'rocket-science'
A simple Google search shows that the Extension Warehouse is available here...
