Match Photo

I recently thought I'd give Match Photo a try to see how well I could model neighboring home for a project. I can't seem to be able to align the perspective on this image after several attempts.
I have been able to set this image up without any issues.
This is the set-up screen shot of the image in question. I used the same set-up and no change from default setting.
The vertical alignment vanishes off above. Maybe I'm missing something here. Give it a shot.

Where did you get the image? Has it been cropped or otherwise manipulated? Things don't align correctly implying that this is not an image straight out of the camera. Match Photo requires uncropped, unmanipulated images.

Was from a real estate site. Yes, I can see it's manipulated to look like a bellows large format camera or 2 point perspective. I just read about how what you mention doesn't work with Match Photo. Wasn't aware of the limitations until now.

I expect it was cropped and someone tried to do some perspective correction due to the wide angle upward-looking camera placement. It looks to me as if they might have slightly over corrected, too.
Unfortunately there are too many variables in the way that images can be modified that are difficult if not impossible to identify precisely so Match Photo does require images straight out of the camera.
Maybe in this case you can go make your own photos?

Wasn't really part of the contract. The photo that does work has really good results. I'm just doing it on the side for practice. I'm just doing a plan set for city submittal. It may come in handy for embellishing a future rendering.

Hi All - I use MatchPhoto so often and for years and at some point I realized that MatchPhoto works only reliably when the photo template is a "real" 3-point perspective. Photos from published layouts often are artificially trimmed 2-point perspectives and so no "real" perspectives.
In the left image below I used your image - it is a 2-point perspective. A good result with this kind of pictures is not achievable from my point of view and my experience.
The right image below shows a via Photoshop slightly back manipulated 3-point perspective. Here there is also a 3rd vanishing point upwards. MatchPhoto works immediately good as expected now...

Thanks HornOxx. I tried that. Adjusted it by using perspective in Photoshop. Didn't work.
