-
Since May 2019, Ferrari Complained 3D Warehouse to remove all their trademarks and branding, this caused disappearance of 3D Models from 3D Warehouse of Ferrari 3D Car Models - who are facing this here?

Somehow weird! What is the reason behind?

Ferrari tired of seeing their expensive cars in driveways of shitty models?

Ferrari tired of seeing shitty models with their name? If so it is a sad indictment of those taking the decision as frankly there is no way of mistaking the average warehouse model as a Ferrari.

Ip Protection. if you don't defend your Copyrights, Trade-dresses, Trademarks, etc, you lose them...
sweeps like this are not that uncommon... look at Nintendo, the recent lego purges, etc..the licences for making a model of a car etc are quite expensive, (just as Revell, Airfix and the rest...)

Ferrari is a brand, and naturally they'll want to protect it from any damage...
So if your SketchUp model is only somewhat Ferrari-like, then it should be OK, unless you call it a Ferrari, or one of its model-types, or use their badge etc...
But they can't Trademark/Copyright/Claim everything...Ironically the surname "Ferrari" in Italian is equivalent to the English surname "Smith" - both originally related to being an iron-worker.
It's the 3rd most common surname in Italy and the most common in England !
The English surname "Williams" is third [after "Jones"] - and interestingly that is also a car-maker [F1 etc].
To be dead common in Italian they'd need to call it a "Rossi" -
They are over rated anyway. EVs are the future.

....... to back up my statement. They are among the slowest of cars when it comes to getting in and out of multi-storey car parks! https://youtu.be/pIo8fveNjXM

The brand is almost like gold blocks shoved in a vault, rarely coming out into the light of day let alone used. Very sad imho, but that is my humble opinion and owners and the company are entitled to theirs.
