Is there a native possibility (or a plugin) to open each project with a desktop well organised : I mean that each time I open a project, tools will be open on a chosen/appropriate place in the desktop.
I am quite tired to replace my plugin toolbars in an appropriate place of my desk if I want to work without a mess in my desktop, because windows of my tools are positioning in a middle of window.
      Thank you for helping.

      Nicolas

        Me too!
but I found a solution to SU by default tools.

Go to View> Toolbar> Create New Toolbar (Name it Nicolas Bar).
While Toolbar still open, Copy/More all the tools one by one dragging from default toolbars to new toolbar.

This toolbar would be there till you reinstall SU. In that case, you need to do this process again.

        SU 2017. V-Ray 3.4.
        Windows 10 64 bit OS.
        System Intel i3,
        4GB RAM, 1TB HDD.
        Redone Graphic Card.
        (No data plan on Desktop).

Hi - I don't quite understand what you're describing - could you both post a screenshot of what annoys you and what it should look like by default?

I'd advise replacing some of the default toolbars...like Getting Started, with more specific ones. That way, you don't get duplicated icons. There was a thread some time ago in which several of us showed how we arranged our toolbars around the drawing window. It's here, https://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=37748
Keeping an actual screenshot of your favourite configuration helps a lot when re-installing or upgrading SketchUp.

It's also a good idea to turn off the tools that you don't use very often, so they don't clutter the place up. You can do this in View > Toolbars.

I think you are addressing different issues in Mac and Windows desktop organization.

SU has by default toolbars; it automatically install with SU installation and appears on desktop. You can turn it on/off by VIEW Menu Toolbar (is on the top of your SU window besde File-Edit-View).

When you press View> Toolbar, the toolbar dialogue box would open up. here you can turn on or off any toolbar like classifier, edit, sandbox, dynamic components etc and can create your own toolbar too (Nicolas Bar).

                rest I already have explained.

What you explained is pertinent to those using newer versions of SketchUp on Windows. However you replied to someone using SketchUp 8 on Mac. Macs handle tools differently and even SketchUp 8 on Windows didn't handle toolbars in the same way that newer versions do. It also didn't have the native facility to create custom toolbars.

                    hmm my bad!

That's why I do call Sketchup a incompetent & incomplete software, which lacks basic functions like locking toolbars, workspace, tools and many more.
