    Hi Sketchup-Forum,

my plugins are wild sorted in my SKP Menu
    (SKP 2019 under macOS 10.14.3).

Is there a way to sort them alphabetic,
so that finding the plugins in the menu is more logical?

Dunno what kind of sorting SKP makes?
    Sorting after installtime?

Greetings and thnx for help me.
    Johnny

The menu items' order is set by the order those menu entries get created, and these in turn depend on the alphanumeric values of each extension's RB file-names, because these are found and load in that order...
      You can't easily change it.
Renaming an RB file will break the extension's 'signing' and might even break the extension itself.
If you are writing your own scripts you can of course name the files as you desire, so they load first of last, or are always in a submenu item, named as you wish...

        @TIG
Would it be possible with a script to create a sortable custom plugins menu in a floating window/toolbar?

Only easy with your own files, or others' with RB files.
Too much happening in RBS / RBE encrypted files for you to work out what each menu item actually does in terms of running some method in a class or module to which you have no direct access !

              Hi,
yes a new ui is much needed.

special for mac and if you have a ton of open plugins.

              • application frame for skp (not a floating window)
              • snapping plugins

For years I have requested a way to have saved work spaces in SketchUp. This could even include customized Menu items, that way you have categorized your plugins. Send Trimble an email and make this a priority for them!
