Try adding more variation to the counter wood plank texture. You can see the pattern repeating.
Also some type of external light entering the window would raise the render a notch.

Thanks Rich, looking at rotating the hdri etc.

Just place an emitting plane outside the window to fake light entering.
Position it so the camera can't see the plane and play around with the lighting strenght.
If it slows down render times then ditch the idea.
