How is the best way/plugin to close a hole in a terrain mesh?

Edit the terrain [assuming that where you'd like the infill...]
View > Hidden Geometry > ON
Trace some edges around the door etc [i.e. things in the other building context].
Because of the complex lines etc... you can also try to edit the building context, select those edges and curves as required, Edit > Copy.
Then exit that edit and re-edit the terrain and use Edit > Paste-in-Place to insert the copied edges in the terrain...
Now draw a series of new lines to form triangular facets from the ends of the now visible hidden terrain-edges to along the doorway threshold edges etc.
When the whole face is formed, you can use Eraser+Ctrl to smooth those facets' edges.
View > Hidden Geometry > OFF to check all are smoothed as desired...

Open the group that the "hole" is in and pick the edges of the hole, then from sandbox tools select from contours. It should generate the "triangles" as needed to fill in the hole.
