Football / Soccer Chants

I've gotten in to watching soccer for awhile now, don't know the rules that well but sure appreciate the athletes!
but what's with the chants and songs? What are they singing? Where can I see the lyrics? Do they all get together somewhere and practice, or pass on the words somehow?
I was watching the German league this weekend and the crowd never stopped! They're having almost as much fun singing as watching the game!

Chants can also be quite insulting so make sure if you've kids you sit in the family areas.
I was at a Man City v Liverpool match and Adebayor was getting stretchered off injured and the Liverpool fans were not too kind. O_o
Nothing beats stadium atmosphere when the crowd is in full sing-along mode.
Thankfully the voo-voo-zella thing has passed.
