Error whilst uninstalling old V-Ray

Hi
I'm wanting to install a 30 day trial of V-Ray for SketchUp but I am having problems removing an old version from my laptop. Every time I attempt to uninstall, I get a message saying that the .dat file is missing and so the process fails.
No idea what to do, have tried clearing all of the files related to V-Ray, but doesn't seem to have solved anything.
Any ideas?

What do you mean you cleared files? What if the files you cleared are the files the uninstaller needs.
I'd reinstall the old version and then try uninstalling.
