Hello guys i am so frustrated because i am making some renders for my client and they are urgent.
Everything was fine until i pushed the "render" button i wait 5 minutes till the windows comes out than building cache takes almost forever very very very slow... i don't know witch would be the problem because there are infinite options at VRay.... So can you give me any of you experience what to look for?

    I think i have a good PC, CPU 6700K
    GPU NVIDIA 980 Ti 6GB
    RAM DDR4 24GB
    SSD 1TB

Uncheck displacement, then try rendering. Don't know what version ur using, but should be up top in global options. If light cache builds in normal amount of time, then you need to track down texture using displacement and find alternative means. We basically never use displacement with VFS. Either get by with bump or model what's needed. Otherwise looking at outrageous light cache times. Hope that solves it. Buena suerte!

          Hey Andy,
To help further, we'll need to know what version of V-ray you're using. Typically, this type of problem is due to displacement. But if you are not using displacement, then we'll need to take a look at your v-ray settings. Could you post screen shots of your V-ray settings? Also, if you havent' already done so, try restoring V-ray to default setting and see if you can get a normal render....its real easy to go overboard on the settings and you don't need to tweak the defaults much to get a good render. (before you ask how to restore defaults(or any other questions), please state vray version) 😄

Sorry for the late reply......darn deadlines...
